Poppy Close, West Drayton- Flood Risk Assessment & SuDS Report
The proposed development site was within a Flood Zone 1, with from no risk of flooding from any other sources. However, there was a low-to-medium risk of surface water flooding on parts of the site.
We provided various resilience and mitigation measures to ensure that the proposed development was not affected by this flooding.
The existing site was brownfield. However, our proposed solution followed the SuDS management train – in order to treat and slow down the peak rate of surface water run off. It also ensured that any surface water run off leaving the site was restricted, in line with the London Borough of Hillingdon’s requirements, therefore satisfying the planning requirements and gaining consent for the client.
Nimbus Engineering Consultants Ltd, were then commissioned to carry out the detailed below ground foul and surface water drainage design. We were also tasked with the Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems design for this site in order to discharge the relevant planning conditions, as well as providing construction drawings.
